Jedi has unfortunately drained Microsoft's general employee base of a huge portion of the non leftists. Most right leaning people at the company got themselves transferred into the "US citizens only" stuff and it's left the rest of the company an echo chamber for stupid leftist ideas. Gates isn't in charge anymore, nobody at the company cares about his opinion vs the current CEO. A couple years ago it was actually not a bad work environment for a conservative (MUCH less leftist than most of the options in the Seattle area) , but now it's gone totally to shit.
