Fixing the flaws inherent in politics with politics is futile. Politics is the box we need to step outside of. It's also Sauron's ring. We (as a species) need to step outside of it or lock it away or shrink it or destroy it. Otherwise, it will consume us.

Thinking we can tame politics is like thinking we can "possess the Ring" and do good with it. It will always consume us in the end. It wasn't called the Ring of Power for no reason.

The founders knew this. So, they did the best they could to protect us from ourselves.

There are no political solutions to this meta problem of politics.
