Is Facebook the public square? I believe it is, particularly under current circumstances. In which case everyone gets to post what they want (within reason).

Personally, I think it's time for some subterfuge a la "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society"

Don't form public groups on FB. Invite only.

Or use another medium. An app or an old school private message board.
