Omg, I live near that area not chicago or illinois specifically but the CTU protests every year about how the teachers don't get paid enough and the students don't have enough resources and they keep kids out of school for months every single year and its sort of like no duh the kids don't have resources because it has to be spent on your salary so you stop striking and then no duh there isn't any money left for the kids if you think I am bullshitting they did this last year and the year before the union is for the teacher and not the kids they don't give a fuck about the kids only the teachers and they're complete scum.
