Not meaning to generalize, but just an observation as a Floridian that gets many Michigan people visiting down here, they're not always the nicest people. Perhaps it's just the ones that come down, but you can usually spot them a mile away. Always complaining and wanting their way, being pushy and rude to our workers in grocery stores, Walmart or wherever, telling us "we don't do it that way", etc., etc... Tennessee and Texas are much better choices - very nice people and mostly conservative folks!
