I remember reading the movie Night and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz was profitable and mostly due to the Chinese market, guess Tom is popular over there. He's about the same size as them so maybe that's the attraction.
If you have ever had to watch this movie it'd boggle your mind how they actually made money from it.
Storytime:
I had to go to a retreat in a town where there was NOTHING to do for a month, with people I had never met before. We were all in the same boat so we'd end up going to the movies. The problem was we quickly ran out of anything we even casually wanted to see.
I ended up watching every movie that was in the theater at that time that I could stand to watch. You know where this is going, yes I saw Night and Day in the theater.
Plot twist, met my wife on that retreat and we secretly held hands during Despicable Me 2, because the rest of the group was not aware of our budding romance and we didn't feel like being the topic of discussion anymore than we already were. That was almost ten years ago.
And that is the story about how I had to watch Night and Day in the theater, but ended up finding a wife, so it was worth it, for me. I wouldn't recommend the movie.
Unless you are looking for a wife and think she might be in there, then you should definitely go.
