I have far less than a grand. Been a lot of bad stuff happen this year, dental emergencies, medical problems, buried my brother, business is teetering on the edge, taking care of family, truck is breaking down. I'm also responsible for keeping several hundred workers in a job. I almost never take a day off and unfortunately I cant afford the time off or cost to journey to DC. Wish I could.

I'll be here in town doing what I can to help and protect those around me.

You're not a coward, stay in town and keep an eye out for terrorist activities and general unrest. Keep an eye open around critical infrastructure like bridges, power lines, water towers, schools, gov buildings.

Consider being a source of info for those in DC. Internet there may go down. They will need someone to call for latest info and whats happening, traffic, where fights are breaking out. Also a lot of people will be driving and flying into the area and will need help, let them contact you for assistance finding what they need.
