Clearly you haven't been keeping up. Antibody testing in different parts of the world has consistently shown a far higher infection rare than previously believed. Sheltering has done very little good, possibly even none at all. Also, nice false dichotomy. There's a lot more than two possible options. There's medication, sheltering for only the most vulnerable, only social distancing without sheltering, adding automatic antiseptic stations to entrances and exits in all stores, and on and on.
