They're still whining about it, too. I lived in the NYC metro area during Sandy. It wasn't extremely windy and there was very little rain where I was. We didn't even lose power. There were some harder hit spots, particularly along the south shore of Long Island, but they acted like it was Hurricane Andrew/Katrina Part II. There was a lot of tree branches strewn about and downed power lines, but I've seen the same thing during Nor'easters. It was nowhere near similar to the footage you see of entire towns underwater when you have bad floods in the midwest or a bad tornado outbreak.
