My sport II is stock, out of the box w/ no mods and I’m using it strictly as home defense. I don’t have optics on it, just straight old iron sights. Like I said, this rifle is strict function is “hippity hoppity get of my off my property.”

If you’re going to change anything it would be the forward grip: the one that comes with it is functional but hardly comfortable for extended shooting and has minimal heat shielding. That would be and is usually the first thing to swap out.

Now if your planning on the being your WOOOLVERINE!!!! rifle when the Chinese hop the Canadian boarder and start stopping our corn fields you’d probably want to start with a more elaborate rifle with a better barrel. I’m sure someone on this board would be a better guide.
