Actually, "normal" is a dirty word to these people. It implies norms (aka standards, aka bourgeois oppression). But in fact they do adhere to a norm (though they would never call it that by name): It is "transgressing boundaries" (that no longer exist). It is "undermining the Establishment" (when in fact these mutants ARE the new Establishment). WE are now the real Counter-Culture.

This circus freak would be insulted if you called him "normal." This....THING is "edgy" and "transgressive."
