You really need to rethink your premise, starting with the old adage about high school students: they demonstrate their 'individuality' by running with the herd. And, the other truism: leftists tolerate all kinds of diversity as long as they all think alike. It doesn't really matter what feminists believe about themselves, it's how they actually behave. I can believe I'm Mountain Man Mike, infinitely adept at living completely successfully in the wilds all by myself; but it doesn't mean anything, if I'm actually a skinny-jeans hipster living in downtown Cleveland, with a gonky, codependent girlfriend who looks like Olive Oyl. People can claim to be individualist, but if their idea of empowerment involves mass movements, community organizing and group efforts...they are leftists, and leftists are collectivists.
These people are presenting a fake facade at the world and that's what has the normies fooled. Don't be fooled. My worst nemesis in college was a Marxist revisionist historian whom I despised thoroughly; but he gave me the best education of my entire college career. He told me: "don't lose track of the argument...always keep your eye on the ball!!! Leftists will try to bamboozle you with meaningless words, facades, lies and doublethink, but never trust anything but what you see them actually doing.
One of the greatest lies that the left has perpetrated on the public is the notion that the right wing is not individualist, that they're the "real collectivists". They have a two-prong reason for saying this: first, they're able to muddy the water with projection (since they know most Americans are against leftism); and second, they are thus able to argue that since Hitler tolerated religion in his movement, Hitler must've been a rightist! This is completely untrue and a calumny.
But look, the extreme right wing is individualist; the left wing is collectivist. Hardcore leftists don't see, or respect, individuals: all they see are massed demographies to exploit--they've lost sight of the real people that are part of those pet groups they white knight for. They see: "the black community", "the gay community", "the feminist community". They see nothing but **communities", masses, and disadvantaged groups, and they speak, demonstrate and manifest indignation for them. These people are not rightists.
