Seems like a fake news. I searched Google for the exact sentence, and it was from a Federalist Papers. All other search results were memes or jokes sites.
I don't think Federalist Papers is a well-known news site, and the article is just citing another obscure web site's article, not that the writer personally know that incident. But the original web site does not exist any more ("Hello world" landing page), so at the very least, it cannot be verifiable at all.
PS: Then again, it may not be a fake news. I searched Google for the professor's name, and found similar articles on Daily Caller and the Huffington Post. Both were citing the following article on "Inside Higher Ed" as the source.
