My good friend works in a children's hospital. A lot of times they tell the parents to give their kids permission to die. These kids hang on and fight so their parents won't be sad. She said almost 100% of the time when they tell their child how much they are loved and that it's ok to go, they are gone within the day. It's heartbreaking. I couldn't do what she does.
