Tyrants are sadists. They get off on people's pain. If you are not in pain, they are not happy. So if you manage, despite them, to find any measure of peace or happiness, you are chased down, beaten, and everything you had taken away.
They have a monopoly on happiness. They feel its not only their God-Given RIGHT to have everything, but its the EXCLUSIVE right to be happy. If anybody else is even a little happy they HAVE to chase them down and ruin it. They HAVE to, its compulsive.
The solution is Brazen Bulls for the lot of them!

It was a large bonze bull statue which a chamber in its belly. In there a person would be thrown, and a fire lit under the bull, which would then braze them alive. As they screamed from their horrible death, a series of tubes made their screams exit the bull's mouth as the sound of a bull braying.
The tyrant famously commissioned it, then tossed its maker inside it for his own amusement, and murdered hundreds with the thing. And remember this was hundreds at a time when a "nation" was 50,000 people. And when his people overthrew him, they threw his ass in the bull themselves then destroyed it.
The point being, we destroy them with the very instruments of pain they used to abuse us with to give onto them as they have given onto us. Its only basic justice.
