What's your thoughts on the recent revival in Ivermectin, Doxycycline, Zinc as treatment?

I think waiting for a vaccine to save the day is a fool's errand. Only an opinion, but seeing as it apparently won't help those already infected (to the best of my knowledge, may be wrong here...) there surely has to be other ways to approach this ridiculous situation we're all in???
Ivermectin triple combo treatment apparently can:
Prevent people catching the Coof in the first place, or
Cure already infected people in a very few days.
So, WTF is the point of a vaccine then?
Australia is in panic mode again because of a MEGA CLUSTER - of a few dozen cases across a couple of states. In our Summer, when it will be easily beaten and hard to spread. It's so far beyond retarded I don't even have a word for it.
