Edit: I looked into it more closely. What makes something antique is actually more specific. Centerfire cartridges are not considered antique. So a black powder sharps rifle made in 1867 chambered in .50-70 sitting in a museum is not an antique, but a bran spankin' new CVA Paramount muzzleloading hunting rifle is an antique.
