I don't know if "overwhelmingly support him" is accurate. He has a plurality, but let's not delude ourselves. I think there's more orange man bad out there than MAGA. Not being a doomer, I'm just trying to look at this as clear headed as possible. Trump's military support also isn't 99% for, 1% against, it's way more divided than that. We'll have to see. The official stance of the DoD is that they aren't getting involved in any election or transition related fuckery (NG excluded because they're exempt from Posse Comitatus). So it's going to be up to individuals, since whole commands will be divided one way or the other. And the battlefield of 2021 is far more unkind to the citizen soldier than it was in 1776. This is also why the Framers didn't want a fuck-yuge standing professional army.
