What Trump himself has acknowledged that this movement isn't and has never been and will not be about Trump. Trump is a great spokesman and vehicle for moving forward on currents in American culture that have been building steam for decades.

The man is ridiculously astute and observant. He quietly watched the despair of the 70s, the DC game of corruption in the 80s, the Reform Party of the 90s (and unsuccessfully dipped his toes into Presidential politics with in), the TEA Party of the 00s, and tapped into what he had observed growing. Successfully because of his good nature, his showmanship, and ultimately because he genuinely felt the same boiling anger that we do about the rampant corruption in the country's political establishment.

spez: The last thing he said in his final tweet before it got scrubbed was "Remember this day forever." That was his call to carry on, with or without him. Remember the brazen corruption, but more importantly, remember that individual citizens can take on the corrupt machine and quite literally overwhelm it.
