I believe this happened because the media has focused so much on the national elections that we have lost sight of local and municipal governments. If these elections were more of a priority. Cities, counties, state legislatures would have had the backbone to enforce the will of the people. We would not have had contestation in congress, we would have had an actual second set of electors. The states are the foundation of this country, counties the foundations of the states, and cities and townships foundations of the counties. When we get rid of corruption at the base it cannot grow. When we get to the point that the states are as clean as possible, states can then challenge the federal government and the people’s will be forced upon the federal government.

I believe President Trump was the opening salvo in this conflict, he exposed them and not only showed people how to fight, he opened people eyes. We must carry on. Starting out with a new party or a complete purge/takeover of a party.
