tap "messages"

its a red or yellow app. once you launch it if it asks for recipient then skip to step 5, otherwise continue

lower right hand side there's an orange round button that has a pencil on it. tap that.

upper right theres a [compose] button. tap that.

for recipient type in the # (you may have to toggle the keyboard between alphabet and numeral mode to get numbers. The button that does this looks like [123] and [abc])

then tap on the "enter message" section near the bottom" and enter the text

after # and text is in, tap [send] lower right
