Edit: I will add that I almost got through to my family on Jan.6. They said "Trump called for violence. He asked them to do this." I said he has called multiple times for peace on cap. hill, check his Tweets. They did not and then moved the goalposts, "Well, he should do more like send in the National Guard. This is an embarrassment to our nation." I challenged that with, "What would look worse abroad? A few people walking around in the Capitol Rotunda, or tanks rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue? Then what would other countries be saying about him? The media here and abroad would surely call him a dictator at that point. Why would he do that?" "...Ohh...I guess that's true." ....Ugh. They annoy me so much. 99% of the time I just don't engage and leave the room.
