I say if the war was fought on British soil and THEN the founding father sailed west onto America then it would never have happened.

It was due to the disorganized nature the colonies were at the time and Britain "barely" has any true grasp over many crucial aspect of the operation/infrastructure here on US soil and it isn't feasible for them to keep sending troops by sea to continue fighting the war that they gave up which handed Patriots (who are set on staying on this land) this victory.

Not to mention how chaotic and lawless everywhere were back then and everyone fought with the same levels of weaponry (remember before the founders tamed the Wild West, we have despardos robbing trains and shooting each other on the street to settle bar dispute and nobody knows who you are when the dust settled.) The 2nd amendment was declared because the newly established government cannot possibly protect say a rancher down south from being pillaged so you have the duty to arm and defend yourself.

Fast forward to today you want to stage an insurrection on US soil with the government infrastructures being "rock solid" for 200 years, you and your pistols aren't going to do shit. It shouldn't be surprising that all the people who showed face and took selfie in the storming got tracked down and detained at their own home or workplace. At this point I don't even think if you killed the entire congress would do anything. I'm talking beyond the terrorism, once everything's over it'll just be a reelection process to replace all the dead congress people and we're back to square 1.
