Why do you condemn it? It seems like a small drop in the ocean compared to a 4+ year coup, multiple fake allegations bought and paid for using foreign intelligence services and misleading FISA judges with fake articles laundered by private security companies, a fake impeachment to cover up financial fraud, months of heavily funded violence, rioting and murder followed by an unconstitutional and rigged election resulting in a protest where the only casualties were the ones that went to protest - which was followed by the immediate assault on the sitting President.

And that's the short story not including everything.

I can sort of understand why politicians need to be careful, but us? Are we really this cucked? Are we really saying that we are going to bow to these "optics"?

To me, the people who entered the capitol building may have broken some laws and done something against societal norms but they are a far cry from anything being portrayed in the media. They are small time offenders at worst. Most of them did nothing more exciting than walk around and take photos.

It's absurd that I'm expected to waste my energy worrying about the first actual flare-up in the situation after 4+ years of an on-going coup. I don't think the capitol "storming" was anywhere near a terorrist insurrection and I don't normally waste my time condemning misdemeanors and and inconsequential protests so why would I start clutching pearls now?

Call me when our side burns down an entire police station after throwing molotovs and other stuff at the cops and forcing the entire force to retreat. Call me when we shoot a black security guard just trying to protect his friends' business. Call me when Trump supporters are beating up women outside of their own store using 2x4 planks.

The only thing I can say is that I wish the day had stayed peaceful and people had just crowded outside the building an let their voice be heard as night fell. But I don't know what the cops did to instigate unrest. It is what it is.
