Can someone who is ineligible to be President be appointed as Acting Pres? Was someone at the secret White House "re-do" you linked above who could have appointed him Acting POTUS? Why bother with that? What are the consequences of taking the oath in bad faith? God strikes you down with lightning?

Bottom line for me is that it seems that a reasonable person could posit that Obama never took the oath and so was never president. There would have to be a reason for that and I imagine that reason would be very, very interesting.
