They were very curious and started asking more questions, but I of course couldn’t superimpose my own opinion, but encouraged them to always seek out primary sources, especially in the age of corporate mass media. What’s scary is that probably only a small handful of our elected leaders actually read the speech from top to bottom.
I think next week after impeachment passes, I will have them read Brandenburg v Ohio as a follow up and have them argue for and against a charge of incitement. Evidence must be presented based on the text of the speech.
