Believe it or not, "they" aren't some poorly-understood alien race that has to be handled with diplomacy and kid gloves; they're regular Americans, just like us, with the only real difference being how they are treated by society.

If a "white" version of something wouldn't offend YOU, then you don't need to make a big show / virtue signal of presuming that a "black" version of it would offend black Americans. Even if that "white" version would offend you, or even if you are black yourself, it is grossly unfair (not to mention stupid) of you to project your opinion or feelings onto an entire race of people.
