29th doesn't "handle" GITMO. It's a rotating assignment. Different Guard units do tours down there, usually MP units. 29th is an entire Infantry division of VA National Guard, with a MP Company.

I also saw a bunch of MPs from the 53rd Troop Command in NY (also Guard) they did tours at GITMO as well. Of course, you can't really tell whether they're MPs or truck drivers by the patch.
