Well, he failed at fighting off anything, really. A jury of his peers found him guilty of obstruction, false statements, and witness tampering. It was only shortly before he was due to enter prison that he got the sentence commuted by Trump, and later fully pardoned.

But at least now we know what the standard is. Next time a Democrat is convicted of covering up crimes, all they have to do is scream "UNFAIR! JURY WAS BIASED!" and their buddy-buddy Democrat president should fully pardon them.

And how long do you think it will take for one of you to start complaining about how corrupt and unethical that is?
