They have made it clear that anyone who steps out of line will be destroyed. Slandered, blacklisted, prosecuted, robbed and ostracized, maybe disappeared. Not criticized or opposed, but destroyed.

Their families may be destroyed, too, their friends, neighbors, etc. Their professions, everything they've worked for for decades, gone. This is how the USSR did it, how China and N. Korea do it, how Ingsoc did it, the left all follow the same playbook. And people know that the influence of one individual is small, that even if they volunteer to be destroyed by the leftists, it might be totally in vain.

Not many have the courage or the means to do that. Trump did, and does. But it's a hell of lot to ask for most, even if they see what's happening clearly.

In an ideal world we would all stand up together in numbers they couldn't destroy, in reality that's unlikely until the abuses become completely unbearable. If the leftists continue on this path it will happen, but history shows it will take a lot more time for people to reach the breaking point.
