They know about it as a technically-possible, but genuinely-regarded-as crackpot conspiracist pipe dream. That’s it.

Saying “they know about it” or “how could they not know _____ is coming?” implies too wide of a margin for error, speaking realistically. They cannot prepare for everything that could happen, regardless of how many could/would say “they should be able to see this coming”.

There are only a few general possibilities at this point. Trump might have no plan and be prepared to lose/concede. He might have a plan which doesn’t succeed (either due to DS’s defense, or faults in the plan itself). He might have an elaborate plan which has a high chance of success. Just a few options. However, the potential paths for successful plans vary so much, including in extremity, that the Deep State might be genuinely caught off guard by some of them, and possibly lose as a result. They are not invulnerable, and never have been.

If Trump has a winning strategy, it would undoubtedly involve mastermind deception of what he actually plans to do. That might include gaslighting the Deep State on whether this Qanon-style ending is a serious possibility. It may very well be, despite fucking everything! Lindell’s little “slip” here, which was presumably written off by the DS as misdirection, could be exactly what happens to reach victory. So the misdirection itself could be a misdirection, discrediting this possibility. It’s truly limitless, the levels of deception concealing the intention.

Maybe his actual plan is comparably as extreme as this one! Might involve invoking the Insurrection Act and whatnot, but not other things.

Maybe it’s half as extreme, and only involve some lesser elements.

Maybe Trump is shooting for the absolute, bare minimum of extremity that would be required to stop Joe from being inaugurated and keep the presidency. It might involve happenings/possibilities that no one has been speculating about, but which the Deep State is unprepared.

The point is, if he keeps them guessing, and stops them from being able to effectively prepare for a counterattack against his true plan, he is more likely to be successful.
