I don't have any reason to believe it's not real either based on all the stuff I've read on it. I am however somewhat cautious. You would think if it's non-existent a country would point that out. However I've some to realise that information suppression may make even that difficult.
That aside assuming all the information is in good faith total lockdown just doesn't make sense to me. I could advise a policy that might have some brief lockdowns or restrictions to varying degrees.
The key difference is that if I were to weigh in the value of that option it would actually achieve something. There's a huge difference between suspending a business temporarily to achieve something and doing so for an extended period to achieve less than nothing.
What we have now are prolonged total lockdowns that really don't achieve anything or are overkill to the extent of achieving nothing that make no sense unless you look at it from the perspective of collective punishment to make the people more compliant, probably punishing them for voting against them especially in 2016 with Brexit and Trump.
Collective punishment and things like mass house arrest is a very CCP thing to do. Punishing an entire constituency. Lawmakers turning their entire country into a prison.
