It would DEFINITELY be Trump's fault if he didn't even try to fully exhaust his legal options. Insurrection Act and Martial Law are still on the table. If Trump doesn't fully exhaust his legal options then Lincoln will have had more balls and have done more to preserve the union than Trump.
