In my experience, people from that age group cling to the stereotypes with rare exceptions. Dim, social-media-obsessed, proudly unaware of (yet disdainful toward) Traditional American culture and knowledge, waking with bong-hits in an "Adulting Is Hard" T-shirt.

I am aware of a few outliers that are hard-working family-oriented well-mannered good citizens, but these are the exceptions. (Not coincidentally, those younger people are respectful of Traditional American culture and knowledge.)

The lost ones seems to be the loudest TDS victims. They speak fondly of the Clinton years because they were children with no proper parenting, with no responsibilities- and Clinton was portrayed (in the media, in particular by Phil Hartman on SNL) as a lovable party-animal. In that video, note how differently MSM treated Slick Willie's surprise trip to McDonald's with Secret Service agents in tow. When GEOTUS treated football players to a feast of hamberders from McDonalds, they loved it- but MSM didn't report it that way: they ignored the fact of the White House kitchen being closed at the time, due to the government shutdown (that Pelosi and allies caused.) MSM "reported" it as a low-class cheaping-out move, when he was actually saving the day by deploying a creative solution that also gave him the opportunity to applaud the hard-working Americans who were not as wealthy nor fortunate as Congress, and had to work through the shutdown.

But I'm 60-ish: I remember Trump first arriving in the MSM to great hoopla, being promoted for decades as a potential Presidential candidate, success story and a shining example of the American Dream Done Right. Over the years, the tabloid press began to sensationalize his private life but not in the mean-spirited way they did after he announced his Candidacy. I have observed 40 or so years of MSM riding Our President's coat-tails for attention and ratings, be that through building him up- or attacking him. This is why I find it laughable when 40-ish year old people pontificate about Trump as "that old racist reality-show guy from The Apprentice" with no awareness of his accomplishments up to that point (including being asked in 2005 to consult with a congressional committee on renovation of the UN building, based on the under-budget ahead-of-schedule success of his own building projects.)
