The marxists will/are/have taken over by their Long March through The Institutions. This includes how they've taken over media, academia, sports, clubs, churches, industries, and government. Marxists usually use "patriots & mercenaries/conscripts" to do their fighting for them against other patriots & conscripts. So those that come knocking at your door (will be patriots and just following orders-types for a paycheck), just as those dying in the sand/jungle halfway round the world for 110 years now; aren't marxists either (but patriots and conscripts on both sides). Thus the marxists prosper, while removing their rivals/opposition in both places.

In America today, is similar to what happened in Germany in the 1930's. It's not going to be a 1917 Russia scenario or 1930/40's Mao scenario to power. DJT is about to hand power over; just as President Hindenburg did in 1933. Main difference, is the 8 years of Obama, and the rest of the State and Local Lefties; and never cleaning out the DOJ/FIB/Courts; means the Lefties are going to go from 1933 to 1938 very fast.
