Yes that's a good point, I never really thought about him being afraid of public / media opinion cuz he took so much bs for years from them that I assumed he didn't give a shit anymore. I think the DS bastards convinced him it was for the "good of the country" to move on because an audit would ensnare too many creatures in the fraud.
