Victimhood became a currency, it became coveted. It was weaponized.

The sort of person who would use these backhanded means to pull ahead, either directly or indirectly are not good people. Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg , Jack Dorsey all indirectly enrich themselves off of this. Our enemies the world over also use this as a means to weaken us. Look what China has done to our entertainment.

There was no singular progenitor of the woke era. And there were plenty of shitty white dudes deserving of blame as well. But I don't think we're finding our new overlords to be any more accepting or better than the old ones. It's just a shitty excuse to justify a new elite class just as resentful as the last.

It was just something that snowballed as damn near everyone sought to milk the new social craze. Why work for something if you can unabashedly heep praise and $$$ onto yourself for being part of the agenda? Fast forward a decade and now they're too down the rabbit hole to admit they were wrong about any of it.
