I’m in the Bay and can confirm people don’t care if it’s rigged as long as Orange Man Bad loses. I’m also not personally worried about CA right now because I think we’re going blue either way unfortunately with all the illegals and otherwise. It’s not like we didn’t already go blue. I’m more worried about swing states and Texas and places like that. CA’s been long gone for a while now.

We’ve been moving towards living in a ‘Communist Utopia’ for a while now. It’s actually more unequal than it was before, and very hate filled. We have a new tax every other day, and a new committee pops up to embezzle money any time somebody so much as sneezes wrong. It’s all backed by unending hubris, the media echo chamber, and indoctrinating kids in schools to postmodernism. I think part of the reason we hire people from out of state so much here is that we’ve all but ruined most of our own for a while now. It’s very sad.

Most of the tech folks here make it worse. They actually do believe that ‘they run the world now’ because people use computers, and that it somehow imparts special knowledge to them on all other topics. That you can ‘AI’ your way out of any problem eventually, and that ‘data mining’ is like some divine oracle that can find eternal truths. The ones that think that way also spend money with abandon and are virtually broke because of it. They hire ‘a specialist’ to so much as wipe their ass or hit the enter key. It’s this big joke. If another country went to war with America, I think the Bay Area tech folks would all die instantly because they’d try joining the enemy and then be shot.

They also seem to be hiring the same sorts of fake groups they always do to start riling people up over BLM race type stuff and rape again. I saw some signs over here recently about how some girl got raped with this big elaborate story that didn’t at all make sense, and if it were true, would result in an immediate arrest of whoever did it because they said she woke up naked in a basement covered in blood and marks. If there was an instance of ‘real rape’, go to the ‘real police’. If you’re covered in marks and blood and were found naked at a crime scene, it’d be a slam dunk. And this is putting aside the fact that it supposedly took place during a party recently, which you’re not supposed to be doing anyway.
