If Roko's Basilisk is real, it's quite possible that this universe is a simulated hell, as well. Considering it seems perfectly designed to piss us off and break us down, it's not completely outside the realm of possibility...

It's still better to resist Roko's infinite hells, because either 1) it hasn't been built, yet, in which case resisting may prevent its construction, or 2) we're already living through a hell with no way out, anyway, so we might as well have fun tormenting our tormentors.
