I know nobody wants to hear this, but they weren't actually contested electors. They were state certified electors; some states sent alternate electors but they were not certified by the states.

It was up to the state legislatures to get the biden electors decertified and certify the trump electors; they had plenty of time to do that and didn't.

So while I, too, kinda carry a grudge about Pence, the true grudge lies with the state legislatures. They made noise, wrote letters asking for more time, etc., but I think this was done only to look like they were doing something to their constituents....when in reality, they weren't.
