No, there is more that you can do. You already go to church. Talk to the pastor's wife. Describe your life, your reasons and ideas and what you want. Also, in church, become friendly with the old ladies. Then, after they think you are okay, and not too soon, ask if they know anybody for you?

Get some blush makeup online; everybody is too pale now, with all this staying indoors and it being winter.

You have valid concerns but don't let them show. People need to see a smile. Also, remark that you don't drink.

Allow your political views to be aired, remarked out loud, and known. Nobody can tell, unless you specifically say so. The default setting is most women are at least a little left-ish. Especially ex-New Yorkers. Talk.

And wear no rings. Not one. Any ring at all means you might be involved or are keeping a souvenir around.

No, there is more that you can do. You go to church. Talk to the pastor's wife, at length. Describe your life, which involves where you come from and why you have moved, and your reasons and ideas and what you want.

Also, in church, become friendly with the old ladies. Smile, be helpful, get them coffee, help set up and clear the tables and coffee cups. Unasked, tell about yourself. Then, after they think you are okay, and not too soon, ask in plain language if they know anybody for you? You want to start a family.

You may end up with a serious minded man who is a little older than you, and a little less beautiful or gregarious. That's ok. You are in a hard working area, don't give off butterfly vibes, be perceived as a realist and without grandiose ideas.

A woman who can walk up to a man is perceived as a woman who can walk up to another man, if she has an argument with the first man. That won't work. The men your age have all been burned already. You are dealing with a more careful, less starry-eyed population, and you are going to have to reassure people.

And wear no rings. Not one. Not even a little friendship ring your grandmother gave you, not one, none at all, nothing on your hands. Any ring means you might be involved or are keeping a souvenir around.
