You might be thinking of the crowd just inside the Main Portico (arched entrance). Massive steel doors at the outside entrance were open already but inside there is a space underneath the porch above, then some rectangular metal doors with reinforced glass leading into the hallway.

An officer gets caught in the door and the guy facing him sympathizes, even reaches out and flips the officer's face shield back in place.
