A few years ago I was going to read the Dark Tower series after having it recommended as one of the best scifantasy novels. Luckily the SJW movie came out around that time which made me look into his raging TDS. More research on him, including how his best work was the product of cocaine binges saved me time from reading more than the first chapter, which I didn't find very compelling.
