I only did about 10 months. I would have done serious time in federal prison if I had been convicted. They told me I could walk out the door ANY TIME if I just lied and said I was guilty. The lawyers were all shocked that I would rather get beaten in prison than lie.
I am proud of doing time because I wouldn't lie. But the blood sucking civil attorneys just took my money and said I'd have to pay tens of thousands just to demonstrate that the cops lied and the prosecutors destroyed entire careers before I was cleared. [Even though an idiot could see it] I'm Not USA American, but I expect it's very similar there. Corrupt prosecutors, corrupt judges and corrupt cops.
