Economic success is not everyone's pure goal either. On paper many countries are more economically successful than ever before but on the ground the cost of living is more expensive than ever and the opportunities are fewer. People often fail to appreciate there are many different dimensions of economic success. Amazon getting richer isn't necessarily you getting richer.
