This is the most depressing thing I've read today. For about 35 years I lived near the museum and went frequently, knew every collection, had favorites like the Tiffany fountain I could enjoy for hours. It was life affirming to spend time with all the beautiful art and artifacts of great civilizations. And to share that with younger friends and family. This is sad and enraging. 😪
