Working out what is good is hard. I once tried to argue science could and I was wrong. Good is not guessing and getting it right first time but knowing when you've gotten it right. Millions of people made that mistake.

Yet how many do you meet that say I'm sorry I was wrong? Probably not many but the opposite amount will tell you you're wrong. If anyone is going to tell you you're wrong and it to be worth a damn then it probably has to be that one in a million.

Personally I think if there were a God that understanding right from wrong is so hard it might even be beyond such a being. If there is such a being then as I discover right from wrong as an unwitting test pilot then I shall share it.

I don't know if God is the answer but I do fundamentally agree that good is often beyond us in many situations yet we do strive for it. It's not as easy as people appreciate.

I think you might be just as wrong as thinking good is as easy as following anything associated with God or a great authority on knowledge as leftists following anything with science vaguely associated with it which is a specific and not general authority on knowledge.

Perhaps your heart is in the right place but it is really difficult. You need to take confession seriously. I first confess to myself. Learn to get over yourself. They overs will get over you and if there is a God perhaps that as well. One of our biggest crimes is holding ourselves to an impossible standard. The longer it takes for people to confess the longer it takes to forgive and when they refuse to ever confess they earn their place in eternal damnation.
