I agree - IF herd immunity was the plan then those who were vulnerable should have had a way to stay isolated and protect themselves. But where was that plan? The elderly HAD to show up as check-out clerks at my grocery market. There was NO PLAN to give them financial aid until herd immunity took hold. And what about the young who work at nursing homes. Should they have had to stay isolated so they didn't bring it to the workplace? And what about multigenerational households. Would those people stay home from school and work to protect grandma and grandpa. Where WAS THE HERD IMMUNITY PLAN TO KEEP THE VULNERABLE SAFE?
