Those hearings were like a uniparty deep state wet dream. They manufactured a BS narrative, that would spin half the politically engaged populace into histrionic activist mode, egged on by the media (both social & antisocial,) and that the other half would see through and be enraged by the travesty of justice. And while each side tried to more loudly argue their point, the antipathy and division got deeper, and all of us were lured into focusing on & arguing about trivial fake sexual assault allegations (complete with Avenatti & Lindsey 2.0 shaped distractions,) rather than what was actually important.

What is actually important in the appointment of a supreme court justice is his interpretation of constitutional law. And in Kavanaugh's case, his repeated stances and rulings against privacy, and in favor of state intrusion and warrantless surveillance in the form of the Patriot Act and such, should have been disqualifying. Instead, the uniparty created this absolute clown world circus, drew us all in, and while we were fighting one another about their honking trivialities, snuck this deep state rat by, his actual record unquestioned, and even pushed a great many of us to defend and support the POS.
