Still missing a lot ,the southern lands were unencumbered so were the movable property (slaves) the US was still a credit based financial system ,and the credit was drying up ,the bankers wanted the south to pledge their land and property for the ongoing credit of the US ,the South basically said FU ,if that ever happens we'll seceed ,which is what they did ,to get around the tax problem a lot of ships were docking in Charleston avoiding taxes , Lincoln wanted to stop that as well .So the civil war primarily was about the preservation of the Union and preserving access to unencumbered property to pledge for the ongoing credit of the US ,so in a nefarious way it was somewhat about slavery ,they wanted the value of the slaves too(slaves were actually rounded up and put into what was called contraband camps ,the North still regarded them as property) .later the 14th amendment ,the DTC the DTCC all banking credit 🥺🥺🤨🤨🤨in a nutshell .
